Hey everyone! I’m excited to share my thoughts on the BEST sneakers dropping in May. May is absolutely stacked with exciting releases, and as a sneakerhead who’s been closely following the drops (and testing a few of them early), I couldn’t wait to put this guide together for you.

Of course, release dates can shift, and depending on where you are — the UK, the US, or elsewhere — dates might vary a bit. So make sure to check with your local retailers. Now, let’s dive into the sneakers that really caught my attention this month!

Adidas 3D Printed Sneakers – May 2nd

I actually got a sneak peek of these 3D printed Adidas late last year, and let me tell you, they are wild. Holding them felt like stepping into the future — they’re constructed as a single 3D-printed piece, which makes them incredibly breathable and lightweight.

Pros:

  • Extremely breathable
  • Futuristic design
  • Very lightweight

Cons:

  • Might not be everyone’s style
  • Durability is still a question mark

If you’re into innovation and new technology, this could easily be one of the best sneakers dropping in May for you.

SB Dunk CEF Collaboration – May 3rd

Next up, there’s the SB Dunk release in collaboration with the College Skateboarding Educational Foundation. The simple white and black colorway is super easy to style, making it a versatile pick.

While I don’t expect these to sell out instantly (since SB Dunk hype has cooled off), that might actually be a good thing for people who just love rocking SBs without all the crazy resale madness.

Pros:

  • Clean, simple color blocking
  • Great backstory supporting education

Cons:

  • Might sit in stores
  • Not the most groundbreaking colorway

Air Jordan 4 “Forget Me Nots” – May 3rd

Air Jordan 4 Forget Me Nots

I’m genuinely a little torn about the Air Jordan 4 Forget Me Nots. Celebrating Mother’s Day, these are a women’s release going up to US 10.5 sizing. Honestly, the light blue hues give them some serious UNC Tar Heel vibes — very clean, very wearable.

But with Jordan fatigue setting in and a high retail price, I suspect these might sit unless they are made super limited.

Pros:

  • Beautiful colorway
  • Perfect for spring/summer fits

Cons:

  • Limited sizing
  • Could be overshadowed by bigger drops

Crocs x Swarovski – May 6th

Crocs x Swarovski
Crocs x Swarovski

I know — Crocs? But hear me out. The Crocs x Swarovski platform clog collaboration is wild. Super bejeweled, flashy, and absolutely not for everyone. Would I personally wear them? Probably not. But I can see these being a huge hit with people who love bold, playful footwear.

Pros:

  • Eye-catching
  • Fun for Crocs lovers

Cons:

  • Not practical for most sneakerheads
  • Definitely a niche look

BHM SB Dunk Low “Tourmalines” – May 7th

This pair tells a deeper story, celebrating Black cowboy history. I love when sneakers carry real cultural significance, and these BHM SB Dunks are no exception. At $135, they’re slightly pricier than some SBs, but the storytelling and vibrant colorway more than justify it.

Pros:

  • Rich historical narrative
  • Unique, vibrant colors

Cons:

  • Resell might depend on stock numbers

Air Jordan 1 High OG “UNC Reimagined” – May 10th

One of the obvious heavy hitters this month is the Jordan 1 High OG UNC Reimagined. These are going to fly off shelves, no question about it. Personally, I still have my 2015 UNC 1s, so I’m not desperate for the new version, but for content and comparison, I’ll probably grab a pair.

Pros:

  • Iconic colorway
  • Sure to sell out

Cons:

  • High chance of restocks
  • Maybe not essential if you own older UNCs

Jordan Air Rev (Golf) – May

As someone getting more into golf, the Jordan Air Rev really intrigues me. Jordan Brand is diving deeper into performance golf gear, and the Air Rev introduces some crazy new tech like Flight Lock and external Air Zoom cushioning.

Pros:

  • Cutting-edge golf performance
  • Customizable fit

Cons:

  • $275 price tag feels steep
  • Early models might feel gimmicky

Footjoy x Aimé Leon Dore Golf Shoe

Another golf-related standout is the Footjoy Premier Series Field LX in collaboration with Aimé Leon Dore. It heavily references the Air Jordan 11 Concord, one of the best Jordans of all time.

Pros:

  • Luxurious design
  • MJ-inspired aesthetics

Cons:

  • $350 price is serious
  • Availability might be limited

Jordan 3 “Soul 2.0” (South Korea Exclusive?)

This Jordan 3 pays homage to the 1988 Seoul Olympics. From the hyper-aged midsole to the premium materials, they look amazing. However, I’m hearing they might stay exclusive to Asia, which would be a real shame.

Pros:

  • Meaningful design
  • Premium build

Cons:

  • Potentially limited to Asia

Nike Hyperboot Hyperrice – May 17th

Okay, so this one feels more like a gimmick: the Nike Hyperboot Hyperrice recovery shoe priced at a whopping $900. It’s packed with tech like heat and compression therapy — but honestly, unless you’re a pro athlete, this feels a little excessive.

Pros:

  • Innovative concept

Cons:

  • Ridiculously expensive
  • Niche usage

Jordan 12 “Mellow” – May 17th

A much more down-to-earth release: the Jordan 12 Mellow, celebrating Carmelo Anthony’s early Denver Nuggets days. Clean colorway, good storytelling, and a must for Melo fans.

Pros:

  • Gorgeous colorway
  • Legendary player tribute

Cons:

  • Might be overshadowed by bigger releases

Air Jordan 4 “White Cement Reimagined” – May 24th

Arguably the biggest release of the month. If you ask me, the Air Jordan 4 White Cement is one of the best Jordan 4s ever. I still have my 2016 pair, and they’re aging beautifully, but I’ll probably pick up the 2025 pair just to review and compare.

Pros:

  • Iconic design
  • Must-have for collectors

Cons:

  • $225 price tag
  • Might feel redundant for 2016 owners

Other Notable May Drops

  • Amamanier x Jordan 5 Violet Ore – May 14 (rumored)
  • Jordan 3 Rare Air – Already released in the UK, coming to the US
  • Little Yachty x Air Force 1 “Lucky Green” – May 1
  • Travis Scott Zoom Field Jacks – May 3 and May 30
  • Swarovski Jordan 1 Low Stealth – May 15
  • Kobe 6 “Black Lightning” – May 24
  • Air Jordan 8 “Aqua” – May 31

Final Thoughts: Which Sneaker Am I Most Excited For?

If I had to pick my top three from the best sneakers dropping in May, it would be the Jordan 1 High OG UNC Reimagined, the Jordan 4 White Cement Reimagined, and honestly, the wild Footjoy x Aimé Leon Dore golf shoe just because of how crazy and premium it looks.

May is shaping up to be an absolutely packed month for sneakerheads, and whether you’re hunting grails or just looking for something fresh for summer, there’s something here for everyone. Which pair are you eyeing this month? Let’s chop it up in the comments — and happy hunting!
